The Ried's Hotel located at Front and Rine Streets in Valley, Nebraska. It was later sold and renamed the Fitz Hotel. The third owner, Mrs. Connie McKee, renamed the building McKee Hotel and Apartments. The 5-1/2" x 3-1/2" black and white photograph shows a wood frame two-story building with two porches with leafless trees surrounding it. Printed on the photograph is: No. 17, Rieds Hotel, Valley, Nebr.
The Valley School held their banquets and proms at this hotel until 1944. For several years it was mainly contained apartments. Mrs. McKee eventually sold the building, and, after sitting empty for several years, it was demolished in the 1970's.
