The building has a light colored brick foundation, two large covered porches, and fire escapes on the side of the building. There is a sign on the building that reads "Nebraska Sanitarium". There are trees and bushes on the lawn surrounding the building.

Historical Notes
North Hall was built in 1890-91 and originally housed Scandinavian and German students. It was owned by the Nebraska Sanitarium from 1905 to 1919. After the college bought back the building, it became the women's residence hall.
