A man stands next to a delivery wagon hitched to two mules and parked in front of a white multi-story house. Painted on the side of the enclosed wagon: P.S. Hays, College View, Groceries & Oils. Two suitcases sit on the lawn at the lower left.
According to Polks City Directory of Lincoln, 1914, Peter S. Hays was a driver for Adolph D. Soucey, a grocer in College View. College View a village southeast of Lincoln was later annexed by that city.
