Three delivery trucks sit on the sidewalk in front of the Globe Laundry Company plant located at 1118-1130 L Street in Lincoln, Nebraska. The multi-story brick building has large display windows on the first level and a set-in sign that reads: "Globe Laundry Co." Painted on the side of the dark-colored trucks are the entwined initials G, L and C and the slogan: "'Send it to the Laundry' -- Cleaning, Pressing, Dyeing." The driver's bench seat area has drop down flaps to enclose each side as well as circular side windows. A metal slat tray sits under the windshield above the headlights. The motors sit beneath the body of the trucks. A small amount of snow sits at the edge of the street.
According to Lincoln City Directory, 1920, Ernest W. Truman was president of Globe Laundry Co. and Walter F. Pickett served as general manager. The offices of Globe Laundry were located around the corner at 340 S. 11th Street. Mr. Truman was also president of Lincoln Cleaning and Dye Works of which his son, Ernest Jr., was treasurer and manager.
