Color postcard (14 x 9 cm.) with a view of a tree lined lake and one of its banks in Hanscom Park, located at 3201 Woolworth Avenue in Omaha, Nebraska. The Hanscom Park Pavilion is visible behind the line of trees.
Hanscom Park was established in 1872 and is Omaha's oldest still existing park. It is named after Andrew J. Hanscom who, along with James G. Megeath, donated the 57.5 acres of land that constitute the grounds of the park. In the years 1889-1890 several additions were made to the park, including a pavilion, a bandstand, a greenhouse, two lakes, and several fountains, flower beds, and trees.
