There is a street car running down the middle of the street, with several pedestrians and horse drawn buggies. On the left side of the street the Schlitz Hotel is on the northwest corner of 16th & Harney, further up the street at the southwest corner of 16th & Douglas it looks like the upper stories of the Brandeis Building are under construction. Construction was completed in 1906. The clock tower of the old post office located between Dodge Street and Capitol Avenue is visible. To the left looms the New York Life building at the northeast corner of 17th & Farnam. On the right of the image is the corner of the red Paxton Block building at the northeast corner of 16th & Farnam with the conical top.
