It was taken during the second show of the Omaha Community Playhouse's 1978 season. Actors in the scene are Joel Knutson as Atticus Finch, John Beasley as Tom Robinson, James Murphy as Judge Taylor, and Merritt Stinson as Mr. Gilmer.
John Beasley was asked by actor Robert Duvall to try out for a part in "The Apostle." Beasley won the part, and went on to act in various TV shows and movies, including Driving Miss Daisy.
