A number of students are gathered in an art classroom in this 7" x 4" black and white plate. Pieces of artwork cover the walls of the room. Some students stand at easels to paint, while others draw in sketchbooks while seated. The female students wear long dresses, and the male students wear suits.

Historical Notes
According to the biennial report, in the school's art department, "sixty boys and girls have been instructed in free hand drawing; three boys and twenty-eight girls in crayon work; one boy and five girls in oil painting, and five girls in water color painting."
