Black and white 2.5" x 3.5" photograph of Rudolph Umland as a farmhand in Ohio. Photograph taken during the period 1928-1931 when, hopping freight trains and styling himself "Box-Car Rudy" Umland traveled all over the United States finding intermittent work--mostly as an agricultural laborer.
