This 3-1/4" x 2-1/4" black and white photograph is a elevated view of Fairmont. The view includes a number of houses, a power plant with a large stack in the center of the photograph, and a railroad depot and railroad track on the near left side, and a grain elevator in the background on the left.
This is a view of Fairmont Street, looking east. Fairmont depot is on left, with coal sheds and Price elevator further down. The 1885 water tower and water plant are on the right. Tall building in background is the Burlington Hotel. Highway 6 now runs just south of the railroad tracks going east and west.
