Ku Klux Klan members dressed in their white robes are walking down the middle of the street in this 3-1/4" x 2-1/2" black and white photograph. There are cars parked on both sides of the street, buildings in the background, and electrical poles on both sides of the street.
This photographs shows a Ku Klux Klan parade on Jefferson Street, when a lecture was given in Fairmont by a national speaker, with 150 people in attendance. A large chapter of the Ku Klux Klan was based in the nearby town of York, Nebraska, and many unnamed people of Fairmont belonged.
