A one-and-a-half story house with a dormer and a front porch sits in the 900 block of Jackson Street, Sidney, Nebraska, in this 6-3/4" x 4-3/4" black and white photograph. Its shingles are made from a pressed metal. The black spot at the left corner of the porch is a dog sitting against the house, facing the side yard. Sidewalks run along the dirt road in front of the house and lead to the front steps and the back yard. Other houses and buildings can be seen across the back fence.
The Hornaday family owned a general store on main street just east of the present day American National Bank. This house was torn down in 1968, and the Cheyenne County Annex is now at this location.
