Historical Notes
John moved to David City from Octavia, Nebraska in 1892, at five years of age. John graduated from David City Public High School in 1905, attended the University of Nebraska, then returned to David City and worked for Loran Jordon at Jordan's Drug Store. Later he worked for the Central Nebraska National Bank, where his father was President. He married Aliene Wilgus in 1910 and they raised three children in David City. In 1934 he started the Central Seed Co. They were active in many civic organizations and the United Methodist Church. John died in 1968.
