Historical Notes
Joseph F. Makovicka was born in Austria, March 25, 1868. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1893 and settled by Bellwood, in Butler County, Nebraska. On July 1, 1902, he married Florence Veronica Lajba of Abie. They had three sons and two daughters. Florence died July 5, 1922.
