The young women are wearing light-weight, floral-print cotton skirts with gathered skirts and fabric belts with cotton blouses with elbow-length, gathered sleeves, gathered bodices with wide bodice ruffles, lace bodice inserts trimmed with lace at the round neck, one with a chain necklace and the other with a chocker of pearls, both with their brunette hair pulled back behind their head and secured with a wide, white ribbon bow.

Historical Notes
Jessie Green was born in David City, Nebraska, May 12, 1889, to Charles F. and Elsie Cram Green. She married Clyde R. Ilgenfritz, June 10, 1912. She and her husband moved to Burwell and raised three children. Jessie died July 7, 1977, in Burwell, Nebraska. Catherine Hite was born November 23, 1889, in Octavia, Nebraska. She married Orville Bozarth, March 24, 1910, in Yavapai County, Arizona. She died March 1972, in Arizona.
