A 4"x6" nitrate negative, photograph of the exterior of the First Christian Church, David City, Nebraska. The gable roofed, wood-sided, white church with cement steps leading up to the corner projecting entry with enclosed bell tower and steeple above and wooden, painted sign above the door with "Church of Christ" on the face, carved wood details at the roof peaks and double-hung windows on both sides, sits on a corner lot surrounded by lawn with a bush, flagpole and fire hydrant in front, sidewalks and brick streets on two sides.

Historical Notes
The parish was established in 1883. Services were held in homes and public buildings until funds were raised and the new church opened in 1898 on the northeast corner of 6th and "E" streets. The church merged with the First Congregational Church, and, in 1972, the building was dismantled and sold.
