Historical Notes
Reverand James Edwin Conner was a minister in the Baptist Church in David City, Nebraska. He was born in New Jersey in March 1863, the son of Ely Mettler and Henrietta Phoebe Wyckoff Conner. He married Lillian Davis and they raised five children. They moved to Clay County, Nebraska, shortly after this photo was taken. He died in 1906.
