A 4"x6" glass plate negative, full-figure portrait photograph of George and Mary Rogers, Rising City, Nebraska. The man is sitting in a wooden, swivel office chair with his hands folded in his lap, wearing a dark suit, full beard and moustache. The woman is seated across from him in a straight-back wooden chair, holding a magazine. She is dressed in a floor-length dark dress with full skirt and gathered, long sleeves. Her dress is belted at the waist with a lace-trimmed neckline. A cloth-draped table with a vase of flowers separates the two as they sit in front of a painted backdrop that features a fringed, floral drapery pulled to one side.
