The residence of Henry Yates, located at 3120 Davenport Street in Omaha, Nebraska, is partially visible behind trees in this black and white lantern slide. The house's main entrance, which has a stone archway over it, can be seen, and stone steps lead from the door to the sidewalk in front of the house. A short fence runs along the edge of the house's front yard, next to a sidewalk, and there is a fire hydrant in front of the house.
Henry Yates served as president of Nebraska National Bank. Construction on his home started in 1887 and took two years. In 1915, after Yates had died, part of the property was sold and Yates Elementary School was constructed. The house was razed in 1944. Source: Spencer, Jeffrey S.
