A new heating plant, with an 85 foot smoke stack, was constructed in November 1909 at a cost of $14,000. A "new or temporary" gymnasium was opened on November 27, 1911 at a cost of $3,200. It had a playing floor 40 X 70 feet and could seat 600 spectators. The structure was enlarged in 1914. It was enlarged again, and the interior and exterior remodeled, in 1922 at a cost of $19,082.
