The butte in this colorized 5-1/2" x 3-1/2" postcard is locally known as Saddle Rock. A group of people have been drawn in, mostly sitting in the foreground, while two men stand holding the reins of horses.
Known as Saddle Rock locally because of its shape, this butte has been confused with Steamboat Butte, which is right next to it, on map coordinates. It is located in the northeast corner of Ft. Robinson State Park near Crawford.
