Historical Notes
In the 1913-1914 biennium, eighty unwed mothers gave birth at the Industrial Home. A one year residence was usually required for the mothers. Some mothers took their children with when they left; others did not. Those children who were left were adopted out to families. Further statistics and information can be found in the report.
