Historical Notes
The Nebraska State Hospital for Tuberculous was provided for by an act of the legislature of 1911 and was located on a thirty acre tract, one mile west of the city of Kearney at an altitude of 2100 feet. The first patients were admitted January 22, 1912. The building to the left in this picture will become the nurses residence, and the hospital, to the right, will become known as the Pavilion.
