Girls' stone building, Nebraska Institution for Feeble-minded Youth, Beatrice
Description
This two-story limestone dormitory has porches on each of the two floors in this 6-3/8" x 4" black and white plate. A sidewalk leads to the building's center double-doors and trees on the property.

Historical Notes
As of December 1, 1912, 198 females were enrolled in the institution; as of November 30, 1914, 224 were present. Those that could, learned how to read, sew and embroider. Today this institution exists as the Beatrice State Developmental Center. Further statistics and information can be found in the report.
