The Richards, Keene Company at 111 East Fifth Street is housed in a two story brick structure ornamented on the upper story with brick relief work. It is topped by a triangular pediment. The offices on the lower level are flanked by half columns of sculptured limestone. The R.P. Richards Company apparently shares the office quarters. American Railway Express is immediately next door at 115 East Fifth, but is also located under the same roof. The front of the lower story is covered with a wealth of advertising symbols and signs which read: "Richards, Keene and Co., Real Estate, Loans, Investments" "Richards, Keene and Co., Real Estate, Mortgage, Loans, Rentals" "The R.P. Richards Co., General Insurance, Surety Bonds" "American Railway Express". Monogram style logos appear in the windows for both of the Keene firms. The windows of the Railway Express office display the diamond shaped logo for the firm. An unusual sign reads: "Look Boys and Girls of the Call Clubs. Did you ever have this experience?
