A 3"x5" acetate negative, photograph of the exterior of the Ulysses School, Ulysses, Nebraska. A red brick two-story building with contrasting-colored cement work separating each floor, large pediments on the flat roof, bell tower and over-hanging eaves with decorative wooden supports, rows of double hung windows, a row of smaller double-hung windows on the partially exposed basement level, double entrance doors with transoms and large arched windows with wood and cement trim, sidewalk surrounding the building, iron-railed basement entrance on one side, lawn with leafless young trees, two fir trees next to the sidewalk leading up to the front door.

Historical Notes
This building was built in 1912, after the previous building, built in 1888, was destroyed by fire in 1910. A large auditorium adjoining this building was built in 1936 as a WPA project.
