Margaret is wearing a white dress with lace-trimmed bodice, her hair parted and secured to one side with a white, ribbon bow. Francis is wearing a two-piece suit with long-sleeve jacket that features vertical pleats down the bodice with large buttons, white Peter Pan collar and a large, plaid fabric bow tied at the neck. John J. and Christine are pictured with their children: Leo, Margaret, Francis and Paul. John J. Meysenburg was born July 30, 1873, to P.N. Meysenburg. He married Christine Phillips on January 13, 1897. Christine Meysenburg was born May 18, 1876, in Iowa, to Peter Phillips. John and Christine farmed near Bellwood, Nebraska. John died May 25, 1951, and Christine died December 16, 1945, in Columbus, Nebraska. They are both buried in Presentation & St. Peter's Cemetery, Bellwood. Leo Meysenburg was born October 10, 1897, David City, Nebraska. He married Anita Koeller, October 20, 1924, in Clarks, Nebraska. Leo farmed and was the father of nine children: Thomas, Richard, Arnold J., James H., Leo Jr., Jerome, Victor, RoseMary Reiter and Julianne. Leo died in 1957. Margaret Meysenburg was born November 14, 1898, in David City. She married Clarence Peters, April 19, 1921, at Presentation Church. She lived near Bellwood all her life and raised her children: Paul, Don, Delores McCawly, Mary Zeller, Phyllis Douglass and Rita Lopez. Margaret Meysenburg Peters died December 28, 1975 and is buried in Presentation & St. Peter's Cemetery. Francis Meysenburg was born December 14, 1902, Bellwood. He attended school at Marietta, Nebraska, and Brothers Trinity College in Sioux City, Iowa. He married Teresa Keefe, June 14, 1929, at St. Mary's Church in David City. Their children were: Mary Ellen Epolite, Eileen Karls and Robert Francis. Francis worked in the rural electrification field and was a manager at Colby, Kansas, before moving to Stanton, Nebraska. Francis died December 15, 1958, and is buried in Presentation & St. Peters Cemetery. Paul Meysenburg was born February 18, 1906, in Butler County, Nebraska. He married Eva Hiller, August 23, 1929, and they raised three sons: Norbert, John and Gerald. Paul died February 23, 1978, and is buried in Presentation & St. Peter's Cemetery. |
