Orren Wilbert Boston was born June 10, 1858, to John A. and Sarah B. Boston in Round Grove, Illinois. The family moved to Iowa for a while before moving to Rushville, Nebraska, and then moved to David City, Nebraska, in 1891. Orren was a brother to Harvey L. Boston, David City photographer. Orren is pictured in a civil war uniform that probably belonged to his father, John. Orren is listed as having applied for a pension following the civil war and his father was a private for the Union in the Civil War. Orren married Rose G. Mohals/Nichols on April 4, 1881, in David City. They had seven children, but sometime after the last child was born (1897), the family split up. According to the 1900 Census, Orren was working as a tinner, living in York, Nebraska. By 1910, Orren was living in Douglas County, Nebraska, working as a "tinner", with his wife, Elvina. By 1920, Orren was living in Florida, farming. Orren died in Jacksonville, Florida. |
