Historical Notes
The Deaconess Home of Immanuel Lutheran Medical Hospital (1922-1970) was the home and center for Immanuel deaconesses who have historically been serving the Lutheran Church since 1887. It was the home for over 20 retired deaconesses. The structure underwent refurbishing and on March 14, 1971, was rededicated as the community Health Services Building. It then housed two new medical center programs, Mental Health and Alcoholism Treatment. The building has since been demolished.
