Intersection of 4th & Main Streets, Neligh, Nebraska, looking north
Description
Black and white photograph showing businesses on Main Street looking north from 4th. The Atlas Bank is on the east and the Neligh National Bank on the west. On the west (left) side of the street we can identify a dentist's office and at the end of the block structure with three distinctive dormers. On the east the Atlas bank has decorative awnings and a nicely decorated brick building with bright awnings is to the north. The cupola of the courthouse is in the background and far to the north is the standpipe. The streets are dirt and the sidewalks concrete. An electric light identifiable an enclosed arc lamp hangs over the intersection.

Historical Note
The Auditorium building (1907) is not there, but the arc lamp intersection lighting is. The frame building with the three dormers, the Atlas Bank building and the brick building north of the Atlas Bank still stand (2006).
