Black and white reproduction of a poster of Mrs. Marlon Brando, Dorothy Brando, shown in a head shot. It was taken in the 1920s, possibly 1925-26, when Mrs. Brando starred in the Omaha Community Playhouse play, "Enchanted Cottage." Mrs. Brando is wearing a fur wrap around her shoulders, and a dark hat, reminiscent of the era.
Enchanted Cottage was the first play put on by the Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) after it was incorporated in 1925. Others in the play included Jayne Fonda (Henry Fonda's sister), and Marlon Brando, Sr. Dorothy Brando performed in Enchanted Cottage one year after her son, Marlon Brando, Jr. (the famous actor), was born. During the run of Enchanted Cottage, the OCP was located at the Mary Cooper Dance Studio, 4012 Farnum St.
