Three women wearing hats pose in the middle of a Spring hat display in this 10" x 7" black and white photograph. Identified from left to right: Genevieve Long, Ida Osterberg and Josie O'Donnel. Osterberg and O'Donnel were milliners who created the hats stacked on tables and shelves.
The Greenlee family owned this important business in Sidney at 10th & Illinois Street, selling women's, men's and children's clothing plus groceries and general merchandise. The hat department was on the 2nd floor. They continued in this business for many years, then sold it to Bill and Una Petersen who continued the clothing business until 1988. The building is now an insurance office.
