Historical Notes
Jay Stoddard was born in Indiana in 1853. He married Edith C. Lemmon in Indiana, October 29, 1882, and they raised six children on their farm near Rising City, Nebraska. Jay died in 1935 and is buried at Circle Mount Cemetery, near Rising City, Nebraska. Edith Lemon was born March 22, 1862, in Ulysses, Nebraska, to William and Lois McIntyre Lemon. Edith died September 18, 1948 and is buried in Circle Mount Cemetery, near Rising City.
